As an Amazon Associate, Yard & Grid earns from qualifying purchases.
Yard & Grid is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We also take part in affiliate programs run by manufacturers and retailers, including programs managed through the Impact and Awin affiliate networks.
What an affiliate link is
Some links on Yard & Grid are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer or manufacturer may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go to the store directly. These commissions are how we pay for the research and writing on this site. Affiliate links on the site carry the rel=”sponsored nofollow” attribute, which tells search engines that the link is part of a paid relationship.
Pages that contain affiliate links carry a disclosure notice before the first link, in line with the Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255).
What commissions do not change
- Commissions do not influence which products we include, the order in which we rank them, or what we write about them.
- No company can pay for a place in our guides, a higher ranking, or a better score. We do not sell placements, reviews, or links.
- The Yard & Grid Score on our product cards is calculated by the same fixed formula for every product, from verified buyer ratings on Amazon. It is not adjusted for commission rates or any other commercial reason. The formula is on our How We Choose Products page.
- When a product without an affiliate program is the better fit for a job, we say so.
- Commission rates differ between retailers and programs. We do not pick products based on which one pays more.
Prices and product information
We do not write prices into our articles. Prices, availability, product images, and titles shown in product cards come from the retailer and change often. The price shown on the retailer’s site when you complete your purchase is the one that applies. Product specifications in our articles come from manufacturer documentation; check the listing and the manufacturer’s page before you buy.
Purchases, returns, and warranties
When you buy through one of our links, your purchase is between you and the retailer or manufacturer. Yard & Grid does not sell products, handle orders, or process returns, and we cannot honor warranties. Questions about an order, a return, or a warranty claim should go to the seller or the manufacturer.
